While managing Adecco’s branch in Miskolc, Bíborka already knew that one day she wanted to build a recruitment business of her own. She had spent years working with clients, understanding their hiring challenges and developing recruitment solutions. But she also had her own ideas about how things could be done differently.

She wanted more freedom to shape the service, build lasting client relationships and make decisions based on what worked best for the companies she supported.

Her recruitment career had started years earlier, while she was still at university. At Adecco, she progressed from recruiter to sales and eventually opened and managed the Miskolc branch, working primarily with manufacturing companies across Eastern Hungary.

Although her career later took her in a different direction, the idea of building her own recruitment business never really disappeared.

When she finally decided to take that step, her first opportunity came from an unexpected place: a professional relationship that had started years earlier.

During her time at Adecco, Bíborka had met the HR director of a company specialising in data centre construction. They had wanted to work together, but couldn’t agree on commercial terms at the time. Still, they stayed in touch.

Years later, when Bíborka started her own business, that relationship became her first client partnership.

What began with recruiting engineers and technical professionals developed into a collaboration lasting several years. As the company expanded, Bíborka supported its growth by building its engineering and technical teams.

That first partnership shaped the direction of the business.

One client gradually became several. Construction companies, engineering firms and manufacturing businesses began turning to Bíborka for recruitment support.

The company’s specialisation grew naturally from these projects, the industries she came to understand and the professional network she built along the way.

Today, Swonder Consulting is a dedicated recruitment team supporting companies with their hiring needs.

The business has grown beyond its founder, but the original idea remains: to offer the kind of recruitment partnership Bíborka wanted to create from the beginning: flexible, knowledgeable and built around the real needs of each client.
